The list
- Scan for opportunities. Avoid chasing. For longs, look for oversold readings or support retests; for shorts, overheated readings or resistance retests. On this platform: the Scanner presets (Oversold in an uptrend, Wolf Cross, Breakout, Momentum) and the criteria builder.
- Wyckoff and market structure. Which family, which phase. The Wyckoff Phase Calculator.
- Trend. Highs and lows on the weekly and daily. Lesson chart with the auto trend lines.
- Support and resistance. Mark them. Auto zones plus your own horizontal lines and rectangles.
- The calendar. The author checks the lunar date here, reading the run into a new moon as bullish and into a full moon as corrective. On WenMoonLambo the lunar calendar is on the Astrology page and is presented as entertainment, because the platform found no established link to price. Check the date if it is part of your routine; it never outranks the steps above or below.
- Fibonacci. Pull the retracement over the last leg, both ways if needed.
- Moving averages. The 8/55/200 and the 13/21/34/200. Where is price relative to them, and which crosses are fresh.
- RSI and MACD. Momentum and divergence.
- Bollinger Bands. Where price sits in the envelope and whether the bands are squeezed.
- Patterns and trend lines. Only multi-week ones, only if they agree with everything above.
- Define the levels. Entries, take-profit, stop. Write them down.
Priority
Structure outranks indicators; indicators outrank patterns. When the layers disagree, the higher one wins and the trade usually waits.
That is a crowded chart on purpose. Run the list top to bottom, switching studies off as you finish each step, and the chart ends clean with your levels on it.
Keeping the chart clean
Mark zones with rectangles and label them in the journal rather than on the chart (the lesson chart has no text labels; the Technical Analysis chart does, but forgets them). Delete drawings you no longer use. Alert rules live on your account, so nothing is lost when you leave the chart.
