Why track the moon alongside Bitcoin?
There's no established causal link between lunar cycles and crypto price β this is presented purely as an entertainment layer, the same spirit as the numerology and gematria tools. It's a fun, shareable daily read, not a signal.
The Moon Cycles panel overlays real lunar phase data on the live BTC chart so you can eyeball any patterns yourself.

Frequently asked questions
How is today's moon phase calculated?
From the standard synodic-month length of about 29.53 days, counted from a known new moon. The page works out where today falls in the current lunar cycle and how much of the moon's face is lit, then plots illumination across the whole cycle.
Do moon phases move the Bitcoin price?
There is no established causal link. We checked every lunar cycle since 2017 against Bitcoin's daily closes: the apparent moon edge dissolves into Bitcoin's normal upward drift. Lunar data here is an entertainment layer β a fun daily read, never a trading signal.
What is a synodic month?
The time from one new moon to the next β about 29.5 days. It is the cycle behind the familiar phases: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, full moon, last quarter and back.
