Setting Up a Laddered Entry

Part 15 ยท Oct 20, 2026

The course never enters a position in one order. It spreads entries across a support range so the average fill is good and no single order carries the whole risk. Here is how that works on the WenMoonLambo paper ticket.

From levels to orders

Say your analysis gives you a support range with five levels inside it, most of them in the middle. (The course author's own worked example used Bitcoin levels between 49,000 and 54,000 dollars in a past cycle; use your own current levels.) The plan weights the orders 20 percent at the top, 60 percent across the middle three, 20 percent at the bottom.

Size each order

  1. Open the Trading page and pick Limit.
  2. The amount presets (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) size an order from your paper balance. The course allocates 25 percent of the trading account to one trade, so press 25% once to see that number, then divide it by five yourself and type the per-entry amount. The preset is a calculator, not a commitment.
  3. Set the limit price for the first level and confirm Buy (spot) or Long (perpetuals).
  4. Repeat for each level. Each becomes a resting order in the Open orders list.

Sizes on this platform are in dollars of notional, not contracts. A 500 dollar order is 500 dollars of the coin, whatever the leverage.

The 1 percent rule from Module 1 still applies to the ladder as a whole: if every order fills and the stop under the range hits, the loss should be about 1 percent of the account. Use the calculator with the full ladder size and the distance to the stop.

Check the liquidation price

On perpetuals the ticket shows the liquidation price before you place the order. The course rule: liquidation must sit well below the bottom of your support range for a long, well above the resistance range for a short. If it does not, lower the leverage.

Moving the ladder

The course author drags order lines on the exchange chart. Here, resting orders are not draggable: open the Open orders list, cancel the order with the โœ•, and place it again at the new level. Review the ladder weekly or whenever the averages move through it.

Alerts around the zone

Set a price-cross alert just above the ladder for a long (price is leaving without you) and one just below the stop (the plan is failing). Two rules, from the Scanner bell or the Indicator Dashboard.

In the lab

Mark a support zone where the auto zones, the orange 21 and the white 55 agree, and write five levels inside it in your journal with the 20/60/20 split.
