Heikin-Ashi, read
Green runs are bullish, red runs bearish, and the first candle of the other colour after a long run is an early warning of a short-term correction. It is a smoother read, not a faster one: the smoothing is why it lags at turns.
The two-chart setup, on one chart
The author runs a four-hour chart beside a 24-minute chart, both with the long averages and the momentum dots. This platform has one chart and no 24-minute or 55-minute interval, so the advanced read becomes: 4H for the entry zone, 1H for the timing, both on the Technical Analysis chart with the 89 and 233 added and Heikin-Ashi on, and the Indicator Dashboard open on the same coin for the momentum read.
The confluence workflow
- Complete the pre-trade checklist from Module 5.
- Confirm the bias on the daily (and the weekly on the lesson chart).
- Drop to the four-hour for the entry zone.
- Use the one-hour to fine-tune the first ladder level.
- Confirm 89 above 233 on both timeframes for a long (below for a short).
- Check the Indicator Dashboard consensus agrees on both timeframes.
- Enter with the five-entry ladder, at 2x or less.
The author's 55-minute chart was used for retests of the 233; the one-hour does that job here.
No-trade zones
- When the 89 and 233 are far apart, momentum is stretched; wait.
- When the one-hour flickers between colours, wait.
- When the daily and weekly bias is unclear, do not trade at all.
The author is explicit that most of the edge in this module is in not trading these conditions.
Scalping
The author does not recommend it. If you use the four-hour plus one-hour confluence as a short-hold trade, use very low leverage and small size, and test it on the paper account for months before any real capital. The Portfolio analytics can grade those trades as their own tag.
In the lab
Set the Technical Analysis chart to BTC, Heikin-Ashi, with the 89 and 233 added. Read 1D, then 4H, then 1H, and write the three bias calls in the journal with the Indicator Dashboard consensus beside each. Decide, in writing, whether today is a trade day or a no-trade day.
