The lesson chart is the study bench. The chart on the Technical Analysis page is the live window. It is TradingView's embedded chart, and that comes with a specific list of what it does.
What is already there
- The 8 SMA (yellow) and the 55 SMA (white), the Wolf Cross pair, on every coin.
- Coin buttons for the watchlist coins and a symbol search for anything TradingView carries, including Bitcoin dominance (
BTC.D), total market cap (TOTAL) and perpetual contracts. Typing a symbol changes the chart only; the order ticket and the Wyckoff panel stay on the coin you selected in the app. - Timeframe buttons 1m to 1M, a drawing toolbar on the left with trend lines, horizontal lines and rays, parallel channels, rectangles, text, Fibonacci retracement, measure and more, plus a candle-style menu that includes Heikin-Ashi.
- A Fullscreen button and a Reset view button.
- Under the chart, four TradingView rating gauges for 1H, 4H, 1D and 1W.
What you add from its Indicators menu
Moving Average, Moving Average Exponential, Relative Strength Index, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Volume, Moon Phases, Moving Average Ribbon and the rest of TradingView's built-in list. To mirror the course stack, add Moving Average (200) and Moving Average Exponential four times (13, 21, 34, 200), then RSI and MACD.
Two limits to know. The chart gives every simple average the same colour and cannot colour exponential averages at all, so the course's colour scheme only exists on the lesson chart. And the chart cannot load community scripts, which means the course author's third-party ribbon, the "SMA 9 50 180" script, Market Cipher and the volume profile are not available here.
What it forgets
Switching coin, switching timeframe or changing the site theme rebuilds the chart. Added studies and drawings do not survive that, and there is no layout to save. Do your setup, do your reading, and take a snapshot (camera icon) if you want to keep it. Anything you want to keep permanently belongs on the lesson chart, whose presets and drawings persist per coin.
Reading the setup
With the stack on, the course reads the order of the lines: 8 above 55, and the 21 above the 34, is the bullish arrangement; the reverse is bearish. The Wolf Cross is the primary read.
In the lab
Open the Technical Analysis page, add the course stack to its chart, and read the line order on BTC, ETH and one altcoin. Then come back and save the same stack here as a preset, so the study bench always matches the live window.
